Asics Gel-Cumulus 23 Carrier Grey/Piedmont Grey Running Shoes Men

The GEL-CUMULUS 23 shoe focuses on providing a smoother, softer fit while featuring gender-specific technology in both men's and women's models. Continuing to draw inspiration from cumulus clouds, we reimagined the upper and midsole construction of this neutral running shoe by applying a more holistic design approach to accommodate the runner's anatomy in motion. The engineered mesh upper wraps around the foot with a softer feel, adding strategic support in targeted areas while leaving some fibers more open for improved breathability. The upper also works more closely with the movement of the midsole for a smoother stride from strike to toe-off. Additionally, the shoe's upper is made from recycled materials to reduce waste and carbon emissions. For improved cushioning and flexibility, we added 3D SPACE CONSTRUCTION to the top layer of the midsole. This technology is achieved through a series of carefully planted struts within the midsole, allowing runners to experience more compression in specific areas without sacrificing durability or stability. These strut constructs were tuned differently in male and female models to account for the biomechanical data of each sex. By helping runners properly compress the foam during their stride landing phase, the shoe promotes a smoother ride and improves shock absorption. Finally, a softer GEL technology unit sits under the heel for improved cushioning, while FLYTEFOAM midsole material helps create a smoother and more supportive ride.
